GALRY - Everything but a gallery

With L’appoint, Alione immerses us in the warm, familiar atmosphere of a small Mediterranean café, where everyday life becomes a pictorial scene.

The composition opens onto a lively counter: half-empty glasses, coins casually placed, opened bottles… Everything suggests a brief pause, a quick exchange, a coffee shared before continuing the day. The title, L’appoint, plays on this very idea: the small change given or received, and that suspended moment when one stops for a few minutes in a convivial place.

Through the wide picture window, we discover a sunlit square bordered by colorful buildings typical of a southern port town. Bustling terraces, trees, yellow parasols: a vibrant, almost theatrical setting where the life outside echoes the scene inside.

Alione adds details that tell a story:

• A shopping bag overflowing with fresh vegetables at the foot of the counter evokes a stop after the market,
• A small espresso cup, a glass of water, a glass of white wine and a beer create a choreography of everyday gestures,
• A painting featuring a Venetian gondola offers a poetic nod to travel and elsewhere, adding a romantic touch to the interior,
• The pop-colored bar stools, the round wall lights, the flowers in the vase… each element reinforces the gentle, graphic identity of the artist.
