MOSKO

Since 1989, Gérard Laux, known as Mosko, has been invading the city with his savannah animals. His mission is clear: to embellish the living environment.
His giraffes, zebras and felines are painted on wood, fences and other recycled materials, and thus reach a whole new reality.

In 2015, the artist has developed a new technique. Developed during an artist residency in Dune (Pondicherry) and then inaugurated in the street in “off” of the Kochi Muziris biennale (Kerala), the latter fully uses acrylic paint and brush practice. The use of a monochrome stencil of finalization becomes then a simple tool. This new approach brings a great freshness in the renewal.

With auctions, collective and personal exhibitions, his career has been developing in France and abroad for more than 30 years.
