Jordane Saget’s tribute to Van Gogh is coming to GALRY
From Auvers-sur-Oise to Paris, the journey continues
After being exhibited this summer at the LabMusée in Auvers-sur-Oise, the works created by
Jordane Sagetin tribute to Vincent van Gogh are coming to GALRY in early October.
For his first immersive museum exhibition, Ondes & Lignes — Résonances, Jordane Saget was given carte blanche to create a dialogue between his distinctive artistic language
and Van Gogh’s universe. This encounter gave rise to six previously unseen paintings inspired by some of the artist’s most iconic works: Self-Portrait, The Starry Night, The Church at Auvers, The Potato Eaters, Tree Roots and Sunflowers.
Jordane Saget reproduces neither Van Gogh’s forms nor his motifs. Instead, he retains his colour palettes, vibrations and emotions, reinterpreting them through his continuous lines and
their infinite rhythms.
From Auvers-sur-Oise, where Van Gogh painted his final masterpieces, to Paris, the city where Jordane Saget’s artistic language was born in the streets, the journey now continues
at GALRY.
For this new exhibition, entitled Entrelacs, Jordane Saget’s works will be joined by sculptures by Lionel Wodecki and textile creations by Yanis Miltgen.
Three artists, three distinct worlds and three approaches to material, brought together by a shared movement: lines that cross, echo one another and weave new connections.
